If you cannot attend a course when it is offered by Northern Tier, feel free to attend training in another district.  Training schedules for all districts are listed on the Council Calendar or links from the Council Training Page

When you take an online course, be sure to print the certificate card at the end of the course.  You can reprint the card by logging in to the training site with your personal userid that you create the first time you take an online course.



 CUB SCOUT LEADER TRAINING: (These trainings are for ALL Cub Leaders)

1. Youth Protection Training:

  • Available this fall in a classroom setting in conjuction with the Cub Scout Leader Training.  To register for the course please click on the link: Cub Scout Leader Training
  • Available online at: www.myscouting.org  This site will direct you to create a user account.  In order to create an account you must have an email address, your ID number, and the Council name and number.  Your ID number is the number that is found on your registration card.  The council name and number is Heart of America Council, 307.  If you do not have your membership card, feel free to email Kathryn at krajala@bsamail.org to obtain your ID number.
  • Do you have 10 more adults that need this training?  Contact Patrick at gwiederaenders@kc.rr.com  and he can bring the trainers to you.  You will need to supply a date, time, and location and the trainers will do the rest.

2. Fast Start Training

  • This training is available online only at: www.myscouting.org  This site will direct you to create a user account.  In order to create an account you must have an email address, your ID number, and the Council name and number.  Your ID number is the number that is found on your registration card.  The council name and number is Heart of America Council, 307.  If you do not have your membership card, feel free to email Kathryn at krajala@bsamail.org to obtain your ID number.

3. New Leader Essentials

  • This training is available in conjuction with Cub Scout Leader training this fall.  To register for the training and to see the dates please click on the link: Cub Scout Leader Training

4. Cub Scout Leader Training

Safe Swim Defense:

Safety Afloat:

Proper uniforming is appropriate for all Scouting events.  Also, please be sure to know your DISTRICT and UNIT NUMBER when you attend a training session.  This enables us to keep accurate records of your training attendance and deliver the information to your home district.  Remember, training is for adults and we respectfully ask that you not bring children.
