The H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation, located in Osceola, Missouri, is home to over 6,600 Boy Scouts and 3,000 leaders each summer. The 4,200 acre reservation consists of three camps Lone Star, Sawmill, and Piercing Arrow and the Osage Wilderness Trail. The H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation has been a summer home to Scouting and it’s honor camping program the Tribe of Mic-O-Say since 1929.
The draw to determine 2009 Bartle Boy Scout Camp placement all troops has been held. If you unit missed the draw please contact Christina at (816) 569-4930 to ensure you place at the Bartle Scout Reservation for 2008.
THE HEART OF AMERICA COUNCIL RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ADJUST CAMPSITE ASSIGNMENTS
The leader orientation meetings will be on Tuesday, March 10, 2009, Wednesday, March 11, 2009 and Thursday, March 12, 2009. A representative from each troop is encouraged to attend ONE of these meetings. The orientation meeting is designed to answer questions regarding your troop's upcoming camping session. The meetings will begin at 7:00 PM.
*Tuesday, March 10, 2009 (East)- Bass Pro Shops, Bass Pro Drive, Independence, MO.
*Wednesday, March 11, 2009 (North) - Avondale United Methodist Church, 3101 Northeast Winn Road, Kansas City, MO
*Thursday, March 12, 2009 (West) - Shawnee United Methodist Church, 10700 Johnson Dr., Shawnee Mission, KS 66203
Directions to H. Roe Bartle from Kansas City
After reaching Highway 13, go South to Highway C. Take Highway C East approximately 12 miles to a stop sign. Turn right (South) through the town of Iconium, MO. At the cemetery turn right (West) onto Highway Z. Continue less than ½ mile to Camp Piercing Arrow entrance. Go another mile to Camps Lone Star and Sawmill entrances.

Lakefront Program
The Harry S. Truman Reservoir is the backdrop for the H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation’s lakefront programs.
Program Offerings
Merit Badges Offered - Small Boat Sailing, Rowing, Canoeing, Kayaking, Fishing, Motorboating, Water Sports.
Other Offerings - Paddles (Sign up through Outpost Program)

Leaders who teach other merit badges not offered by the camp, may volunteer to teach during the session they will attend. Please coordinate this with the camp director by calling 816-569-4937. |

Program Ranger
The ranger program offers the opportunity get Scouts out of camp and into exciting activities. Most programs offer a dutch oven meal for dinner.
